Good writing, with a strong point and with life oozing out.

Third-Way Thinking

April 18, 2009

Life at Nana’s house is enchanted, indeed. Most especially because of all of the wonderful movies to watch. And after an extended run of princess movies– with all of the damsels in distress, square-jawed princes, and magically happy endings– I was a bit worried about my Girlie. Afraid that she’d swallowed the pill of happily-ever-after and would forthwith go looking for someone to rescue her from her life and relieve her of the burden of ever trying or thinking for herself again. So I was ecstatic when she walked away from the final movie claiming, “I want to be the King!”

That’s my girl.
