Good writing, with a strong point and with life oozing out.

After a long weekend packed with many events– each of which took a lot out of me and left me wondering and worrying and hoping that they found their mark– it was bliss to return home and put my shoulder (and my other shoulder, and my arms, and my back) to some real work. Nice to be able to turn off most of my brain and just mindlessly move mulch from front to back, again and again. And after a weekend chock-full of The Cobalt Season, what did I dial up on the iPod? That’s right, some fresh Cobalt Season. And then some Speaking of Faith on beauty (HT to Caren).

My lovely assistant. As a helper, she is far more trouble than she’s worth. But as a daughter, she is irreplacable.

Lovely, she is! I can’t wait to see her and her new baby cousin in the same place! I’ll bet she’ll be VERY helpful when there’s a baby involved! It’s typically more fun than mulch. :)

Who needs to be helpful when you’re that stinkin’ cute???
