Good writing, with a strong point and with life oozing out.

Cherry Blossom Haiku

March 29, 2008

the path before me
a tunnel of pink flowers
small trumpets of spring

millions of blossoms
gifts from an island nation
sorry we nuked you

your stroller feels light
as we go many miles
sleep holds you gently

our happy secret:
a circle to celebrate
(I love tour buses)

the wind trembles trees
tiny petals drift downward
brightening the ground

They attacked us first without a declaration of war!
    They killed our boys!
We don’t owe them an apology!

I will ignore the first comment. It sounds like sarcasm.

I love haiku and I love these. Especially 1 and 5.

It’s not sarcasm. It’s a fact. Lets not revise history.
We don’t owe them an apology!
