We’re pleased to be surrounded by many good friends who are helping us plan a simple time of remembrance the evening of Wednesday, September 12 at the Benedictine Monastery in Bristow, Virginia. All of those touched by the life of William Addison Stavlund are welcome to attend.
We’re moving the start time up to 7:00pm, so that we can have a little daylight to gather outside before we head into the absolutely gorgeous prayer chapel at dusk. Come if you can, to share in any way you’d like, or to simply be together. If you can come earlier, some of us will be walking the permanent labyrinth that was recently installed there.
Directions: exit Route 66 at Lee Hwy/29 (exit #43), head south, then take a left onto Linton Hall Road/619. The monastery doesn’t have any obvious signage, but you will probably notice the giant Baptist church with huge lettering on your right. The monastery is directly across Linton Hall. Once you get on the grounds, you can park on the circle in front of the main building and head northwest past the gardens and toward the twin white grain silos at the end of the property.
Our family is deeply honored to be joined by so many friends, both near and far. Thank you.
