When I’m doing mindless tasks, I try to fill my mind with enlightening podcasts or think about important things or write stuff in my head. But while I was doing yardwork today, my mind spent several hours ruminating on a new term I picked up from a couple of geeky friends: Pwn. i.e., ‘owned’, i.e., ‘defeated’, i.e., ‘dominated, controlled’. Which is a pretty handy thing to know if some gamer is thinking that they’ve Pwn’d you, but which information is pretty pointless otherwise.
Once I chased that out of my head, I pondered the fact that my head was covered with a ratty Miller High Life hat. Which I got at Target because it was cheap, and because it fit, and because I thought it was ironic and funny, since I’m not the kind of person who would wear a Miller High Life hat. But today I realized that, since I in fact wear a Miller High Life hat, I’m exactly the kind of person who would wear a Miller High Life hat.

hahahaha… what a pensive person you are!
Perhaps, it is a form of penance like the Hall & Oates tshirt I used to wear.
Blue Collar Mimosa
Mix in equal parts:
Miller Highlife (the champagne of beers, I might add)
Sunny Delight
Or, if you want to go hardcore, just mix some Tang powder into the Highlife.
Our housemate Jared and I joked about this for a year, and before he moved away, we actually did it. Will wouldn’t touch the stuff. What a snob. Ha!
Here we see the true benefit of yardwork — letting the mind wander where it will. (Methinks your upcoming trip was making you think, and write, a bit like that Schuyler guy.)
