We stretched out the Wife’s birthday celebration over the whole weekend, with cake for breakfast, time to chill out, and some extra sleep sprinkled over two days. With her amazingness tilting an imaginary balance sheet way past the tipping point, I’m certain I can never give her what she deserves, but I tried to put my love on a plate this afternoon:

mixed green salad with grill-roasted bell pepper and corn plus goat cheese
dry-Aged, organic rib steak with gorgonzolla cheese
baked potato with butter and sour cream
all paired with a Napa Cabernet
and grilled peaches with goat cheese for dessert
What can I say? I like the grill, and she likes cheese.
