Praise God. I can’t imagine how hard it was to leave your son tonight. Hearing you describe it definitely gave me a hitch. But know that he is in both loving and capable hands while you’re not with him. May tomorrow (today?) continue to be joyous.
Mike, I’m so glad to hear your daughter is doing well and I’m anxious along with you for developments with your son. Thanks for posting updates. Thinking of you all, Maranda
I’m sure it was horrible to leave the family behind. But remember that you MUST take care of yourself… rest as much as you can, eat well, try to find some space (even if in small ways in odd moments) to let yourself unwind and recharge.
It may seem selfish to do these things for yourself. But it’s really, really in the best interests of the whole of family. They need you now… and that means they need you strong, rested, and well. If you let yourself get so run down that you get sick… what good is that?
So, remember, being the great father that I know you are means being good to yourself, too!
I’m glad to hear your daughter is doing so well. It also sounds like the move was good for your son.
How is Stacy? Was the surgery easy (well, as easy at surgery can be?) How is the pain?
Mike and Stacy, how thankful we are that your babies are here! I look for a new podcast at least once an hour, so it was wonderful to hear your latest, first thing this morning. I’m praying conTINually that God will give you peace and hope the likes of which you’ve never seen.
Thanks for keeping us up to date, Mike! You sound tired on this one… hope you slept well. Congrats on fatherhood and a special Shalom to all the family.
We hope you sleep well friend.

I’d really like to pray for these babies by name . . . do they have them yet?

We have prayed and I am enlisting friends to add there voice as well.
Still praying, and I’ve enlisted some Episcopalian prayer power from Holy Comforter too.
I ditto what Liz said: take care of yourself, brother.
Sending continued love and prayers!
