Thank you so much for your updates. Huge congratulations on the birth of your babies. I’m sure Stacy is Supermom through and through, and sounds like you’re Superdad as well. Really looking forward to seeing pics of the little Stavs. We love you so much.

Less than 24 hours and she already has daddy wrapped around her finger!

My prayer today will be for that way to happen that lets Stacy get to see her son before surgery, and that God’s love, grace, peace and wisdom continue to fall mightily on you all.

I can only imagine how much God loves you both and your two tiny new babies. I am praying with holy expectation for you all in the next few days. Love, LMK

Mike, thank you SO much for your posts. I speak from experience that the daddy-daughter relationship is SO incredibly meaningful from both sides. I continue to pray and pray for strength for you and Stace as you walk through these super-long days, and for your beautiful babies. I talked to Hosnea this morning (who is STILL very pregnant and was complaining that she couldn’t even watch TV any more because her belly is in the way!), and she asked me to tell you both “Mabrouk” (congratulations)! She also asked me to tell you that she will pray for patience for you and for God to strengthen you as you make all these decisions with your son and to know that both babies are in God’s hands. She is praying for you. Much love, Jackie C.

Congratulations Mike and Stacy! Thank you so much for the audio posts, sharing the experience with us all. Oh, and get used to being up at 1am (heh, heh). Seems we’re all praying for God to give you more of what you already have – love, strength and patience. Keep the posts coming!

Watching you “parent” over the last 48 hours has left me in awe of what I already knew…that you and Stacy have much to teach us all. We watch and learn.

p.s. we too will find it difficult to deny your daughter anything…lollipops for breakfast, no problem!

Yes, I have to agree with Jackie that the Daddy / Daughter relationship is amazingly powerful. It certainly was one of the greatest relationships in my life (second only to the mommy / daughter thing where *I* am the mommy.) Oh and that desire to give them everything… it’s so strong and so beautiful it almost hurts sometimes, doesn’t it :-)

I am encouraged by the reports you are leaving about your son. You know, sometimes “wait and see” isn’t so bad. He is constantly in my prayers. Well, you all are.

It’s good that Stacy is recovering well. I was a tad nervous when I heard a report that she lost a lot of blood during the surgery. But it sounds like that hasn’t kept her down. I’m praying that a way is found for her to visit your son before the surgery. I can’t imagine how she feels being separated from him… well, I can imagine it just enough to know that is not an emotional place I envy.

I hope you are taking lots of pictures… I have faith that I will get to see them someday ;-)

    Mike and Stacy,

I am reading/listening to these posts faithfully. My lack of comments is due to the fact that I burst into tears each time I start to write anything! You’re ALL in my thoughts and prayers all day every day (especially Baby A). I am anxiously waiting to hear how he’s doing post-op.

    With love,
    Shonda
