This weekend, our church sent us flowers: four snapdragons, encircled by many, many yellow roses. A beautiful reminder that we are surrounded by friends.
Indeed. We’ve been inundated with thoughtful emails, blog comments, phone calls, projects, listening ears, home visits, “American Idol” viewing parties, and badass blog comments defenders. People near and far to cry, question, laugh, wonder, and wait with us.
In the past, difficult times have felt quite lonely. But this time, the path ahead seems well-populated. Crowded, even. Which is nice.
