When I grow up, I want to be like Andrew and Debbie Jones. Cool, smart, and earthy, they are traveling ‘round the states for a month with their five awesome kids in a van. Picking up friends old and new to ride to their next destination. And all the while, living in the way of Jesus.
When they get to where they’re going, they give themselves away in countless ways. But since I’m a slave to my stomach, I’ll just tell you about three things I saw at Glorieta. Andrew expertly crafted hundreds of crepes on two consecutive mornings. On our last night, he and Debbie hosted a make-your-own-pizza party for about 80 people (they made the delicious wheat dough by hand, and the sauce was perfect). And then, to my utter amazement, they unsheathed three perfectly matched, breathtaking single malt-scotches, which they had carried from Scotland.
The next morning, they thanked us for our hospitality and left to bless someone else.
