There is just a light rain falling on a sixty-degree day today. Perfect for a solitary run. A little chilly when you first step out, but then comfortable once you’re underway.
So many things to love. The fact that only the heartiest people and dogs will be out, and they will all be smiling. The sky is light and dark at the same time, and the little drops create a light curtain of background noise. Your inner child can delight in getting dirty, muddy, and wet. And your outer adult can give you permission to come home with wet shoes. The pollen is washed out of the air, and the streets and paths get a little rinse. Everything gets a spritzy refresher, including me.
