Coming away from the conference, I’m glad for all I’ve learned. Excited for the future. Eager to get back to life, and to church, and to try to make them the same.
But mostly, I’m thankful for the friendships. People I’ve met before, and joined with in projects. Some who I’ve met through books or blogs. Others who I’m introduced to for the very first time.
Bottom line: the chance to listen and learn, and share good food and drink and tobacco and laughter is priceless. To meet people and gather not just around theology and methodology, but a genuine connection of love and support is like God in flesh.
